Beginner lessons are held at least twice each year. See the box below for the next cycle.

BRIDGE LESSONS / SUPERVISED SESSIONS

NEXT Series of Beginner Lessons:  Mid or late 2024 (TBA)

Wednesday or Thursday morning - 9:30 -12:30pm.

There are not many opportunities to learn bridge in the northern suburbs. JBC usually holds 2 series of the Beginner Lessons each year, one in the evening and another in the morning. Places are limited!

For more information Contact: presidentjbc@westnet.com.au

A modest up front charge of $60 covers all 9 beginner lessons. This is followed by several weeks of supervised practice sessions ($4 ea) to gain more confidence and speed up your play before attending our regular sessions.  All sessions include a short break for coffee or tea with a variety of biscuits, plus time to meet and socialize with other attendees.

You will receive an excellent Booklet: 'Bridge Notes for Beginners', and a book with Homework Exercises as well as a copy of Materials from each Lesson (Weekly)

Each lesson includes theory (broken up in small segments) of the BASIC BIDDING SYSTEM (ACOL with 5 card majors, weak no-trumps, weak 2's). We use worksheet exercises, guided by an experienced helper at each table, to practice bidding. The second half of the lesson is play of up to 8 boards to consolidate what is taught in that lesson.

A copy of each Lessons Powerpoint slides, worksheet exercises, answers and practice hands are sent to all attendees each week.
